What we do at your visit
Evaluate & test
- Focused MD evaluation and medical history
- Clean‑catch urinalysis (UA) in the office (results in minutes) — $31.50
- Urine culture when indicated to confirm bacteria and guide antibiotics (LabCorp, billed separately)
- Pregnancy test when relevant
Treat & relieve
- Same‑day antibiotics if appropriate
- Hydration + symptom relief options
- Clear follow‑up instructions in MyChart
- Prevention tips to reduce recurrence
Most testing is done in‑office (POC). Urinalysis is billed separately at $31.50. If a sample must be sent out, we use LabCorp (independent billing; not included in the visit price).
Who we treat
Women
We manage simple and many recurrent UTIs, provide UA/culture, and tailor antibiotics to your history.
Men
We evaluate urinary symptoms in men and coordinate follow‑up if there are signs of a complicated infection.
Pregnancy
UTIs in pregnancy warrant prompt evaluation and culture; we recommend early testing and close follow‑up.

How to prepare for your urine test
- Try not to urinate for at least 1 hour before your visit
- Drink water, but avoid over‑hydrating so the sample isn’t diluted (over‑dilution can affect accuracy)
- Use the provided wipes and do a midstream clean‑catch
- Bring a list of recent antibiotics and allergies
FAQs
Do you test on site?
Yes — we perform rapid urinalysis in the office. We send a urine culture to LabCorp when indicated.
Can I start antibiotics the same day?
Often yes — if your evaluation and UA support a bacterial UTI, we can start antibiotics the same day.
How long do culture results take?
Often within 24–48 hours; we’ll message results in MyChart and adjust treatment if needed.
Which antibiotics do you use?
Your MD will choose the safest option for you based on allergies, local patterns, and (when available) culture results. For uncomplicated bladder infections, commonly used options include nitrofurantoin, trimethoprim‑sulfamethoxazole, and fosfomycin — we’ll tailor it to you.
Can you test for STIs?
Yes — if symptoms could be related to an STI, we can add testing. Some tests are send‑outs to LabCorp.
Do you accept insurance? What about self‑pay?
We accept most major insurances. Self‑pay is welcome and transparent — see our pricing page and accepted insurances. HSA/FSA cards accepted.
What if I have frequent UTIs?
We’ll evaluate for triggers, ensure a culture is obtained when appropriate, and coordinate follow‑up. Primary care with Monarch can help with longer‑term prevention.
